Advanced Industrial Waste Incinerator:

Karoun Petrochemical Company has advanced industrial waste incinerators for disposing of solid, liquid and gas wastes. The nominal capacity of this waste incinerator is 8760 tons per year. The heat from burning waste is used to produce part of the steam needed by the Karun Petrochemical Company, which is a turning point in the field of energy efficiency. It is noteworthy that the gases from the waste incinerator to the atmosphere, are in accordance with European standards and the chimney of this unit has been equipped with online monitoring equipment to monitor all of the exhaust gases.

Waste Water Treatment Plant Units:

Karun Petrochemical Company has two waste water treatment units for the management and process of industrial wastewater and runoff units. The waste management system is quite close. The pre-treatment of wastewater is the "Fenton Advanced". In which the ammonium persulfate is used in addition to the oxidizing agent. It is worth noting that after the pretreatment operation, wastewater is sent to the Fajr Petrochemical Company for final purification. The recovered sludge from the purification operation, under environmental permits, is buried in Landfills of Bandar Imam.

Green space:

Karoun Petrochemical Company has 30,000 square meters of green space, including a variety of plant species. It is to be noted that about 10% of the area is devoted to green space.
